Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Hope everyone felt the love today.

BSD is away right now so our traditional family crab leg dinner has been postponed until Saturday. It's actually a good thing that he's gone since my paint saga continues. I won't bore you with all the details. But it basically consists of...

spend all night looking at paint chips.
drive to paint store in the morning. get samples.
paint samples.
hate samples.
spend more time looking at samples.
drive to paint store in the afternoon. get samples.
paint samples.
hate samples.
wash. rinse. repeat.

But I did manage to choose a color for the main living spaces. So Larry has been busy.

Once I get everything back into place I'll have you all over for cupcakes and show you around.

Oh no. You are stressing me out with your paint worries. It will be ok. After all that energy expended on choosing the right one - you will be too worn out to dislike it. I keep thinking of Eldon on Murphy Brown and how he was perpetually working in her house. I think you have your own Eldon. Happy Valentines Day. Sounds like it will be an amazing dinner once you are all back together.

Oooh cupcakes. So cute. We are kind of crazy about cupcakes at the Bungalow. So hear you on the paint. I once called a decorator on a Sunday and left a pleading message because I couldn't decide on any of my choices and hubs was going to take matters into his own hands. Thankfully she came over and saved the day.

hahaha, i love karina's comment about larry being your eldon - it's so true! i'm really reeeeeally sorry to hear you're having a tough time with all of the color decisions - it is so overwhelming, so many billions of choices - hope you're not scarred for life afterwards - just think of how great it'll be when it's done - right??

Is Larry a young guy or an old guy?! Ok, just kidding! ;)

Still no luck with the kitchen paint? I think kitchens are the hardest to pick a color for....except you have light cabinets so everything will look awesome!

Sorry about the tough paint choices. . .the colors never look like the paint chip, do they? Thank goodness for the sample size!

Those cupcakes are so cute!

i hate when the paint samples don't work. i always end up mixing them together and finding the perfect shade, then have the guy at home depot match it. good luck with your colors! love the cupcake photo!

Hey Kim! It's been a while since I've been around. Painting!! So much fun, but so frustrating sometimes trying to find the right color. I'm sure you will find something that you just love. Can't wait to see the afters! I'm a sucker for a room re-do. Happy Vday!

Larry! Is his name really Larry or did you make that up? Because "Larry the Painter" just sounds like the perfect name! Sorry you are having paint chip troubles still!! At least you figured one of them out. One down...how many...2? To go?
