Project Orange...

My photography class started last week. The syllabus looks great. Lots of things on there that I want to learn. And a plan to go out together to shoot during the Golden Hour. Looking forward to that in a big way.

So...assignment #1 is due on Thursday. It's Tuesday. And I just started. I told you I was good at procrastinating. I guess Tuesday night is better than Wednesday night. Right?

Assignment #1: Shoot photographs that have a limited color palette. Pick one color for your palette and bring in 3-5 printed photos as examples.

I chose orange.

I've been working on my homework since 7pm. It's now 11:14pm. Here's what I've got so far.

Don't you just love that shade of orange? Ummm...yeah. I suck at following directions.

Off to bed. I'll try again tomorrow.

OMG, your post made me laugh so hard that my DH had to come in and see what was going on! You crack me up and always seem to find a way to brighten my day...either with your fun stories or your amazing, heartfelt comments. I sure wish we lived closer to one another; I think we could have a lot of fun together. Ever think about visiting Texas?

And even though you didn't follow the directions well, I adore your shot. Do you think taupe would qualify as the one color....I hear it's the new orange!

Good color choice- my favorite!
Are those oranges in her basket?!
I felt my blood pressure go up a little bit reading your post...makes me nervous that you only have today and some of tomorrow to work on this!

Way to buck the system!!!! I think the photo is great.

I was a teacher, too - I am HORRIBLE at following directions and being quiet in a large group when someone is teaching.

Isn't she wearing orange boots - with the orange sun setting behind - and a basket of oranges - in a field of amber waves of grain. I can totally see the orange - that's what color correct is for. Good luck my procrastinating friend - I'm right there with you. We work better under pressure - you will do great!

Arent assignments made for changing?? Teachers don't really expect older, more mature adults to listen to them right?

I love the photo anyway. BB is such a patient poser for your class work!

I don't always follow directions either! :)

That photo is beautiful and ageless!!!!!

I rarely follow directions the way they were intended. I find I follow them just enough to be within the limits of what was asked for...but still do my own thing. It has gotten me in trouble more than once.

Apparently, there are those that aren't as impressed with my "creativity".
