New Decade, New Look

I need a facelift.

A Blogger facelift, that is. My current look is just so 00's. So...

Can any of you Blogger pros help me figure out how to change the layout of my blog?  I know there are standard Blogger templates you can choose from, but none of them are exactly right.

Also, how do I create a banner at the top of my blog with the title and a picture? I have tried to do this over and over, but I cannot figure it out. :(

Any advice or sites with tutorials you can send me to would be greatly appreciated!

I wish I knew....you'll note that our blogger template is uber boring.

For the banner, one thing you might want to make sure of is when you upload your banner, make sure to click on the option that says "Instead of title and description." If that's not selected, it won't show up. Not sure if that's the problem you've been havign though.

Hope it works! The polka dots are cute too! Good luck with the new look!

Thanks, ladies! I will try these things and see what I can come up with. I appreciate the help!

If anyone else has any advice, I'm more than interested! Thank you!

Hi Kim!

I use the Minima Stretch template from blogger. I like it because I feel like the pictures stand out better.

As far as the banner...what Grey Street Girl said! I edit my pics in Flickr to add my blog name.

I really don't know anything...but what I do know I learned by googling! There are so many AMAZING bloggers out there and many are nice enough to share their secrets ;)

Kimberly - Thanks so much for the info. I love the look of your blog and have been drooling over your amazing pictures. I have tested out many of the templates over the past few months and I do keep leaning toward one of the Minima ones. I agree. It is a crisp, clean background for the photos. The thing that bugs me the most about my current template is how the title is stuck over in the left corner like that. It is not movable in the Layout function so this template must go.

Thanks again! Stop by anytime.

I get it now!!! Please please let me help!
Maybe I could get a nickname too?

I can make a header if you want to send me ideas of what you like, and the stuff you might want included. Its so up my alley, if you want help just say the word!!

Kathy - You're the best! I am going to try to play around with it a bit more to try to learn this stuff. When I'm completely frustrated, (probably in about 15 minutes) I'll take you up on the offer. I KNOW you'll create something incredibly fabulous.

I'm working on a nickname for you. I'm thinking something like...PhotoShop Master. hmmm...that would make you PSM. A little too close to PMS for comfort? I'll keep thinking.
