thanks bunches...

Thank you to all of you who have commented on my new header. It kind of freaks me out when I log on and see that giant billboard of "myself." But I think it's tons of fun. One of these days I'm going to get a new layout that includes a less obtrusive header. For now though we're all stuck with the super-size meal deal.

Now I can't take all the credit for the header. Actually I can only take a tiny portion of the credit. I took the self portrait. But then this super cool girl. Who many of you already know. Who just happens to have the same name as me. Had the brilliant idea to turn it into a header.  And then she so graciously created it for me. Sending me lots of samples to choose from. So....Kim...

But it doesn't stop there. Blogging is a really interesting animal. You start a blog. You put yourself out there. You find others who blog.

Some you like. Some you don't.
Some like you. Some don't.
Some like you. Then you use words like bitch or ass. And then. Some don't like you anymore.
Some you connect with. Some you really get to know. Some you wish you could create a community where you all lived close enough to hang with IRL.

Kim is one of those people who'd have a house on my street. She's real. She's raw. She's hilarious. And she totally overshares. But she's also sweet. And generous. And thoughtful. Totally my kind of girl.

Not only did she make my new header, but she noticed that I take too many pictures of my beach cruiser.

So she sent me this...

Is that not the coolest t-shirt ever? I love it! You rock, Kim!

thanks bunches.

How nice of Kim! I had a feeling which Kim you were talking about right away! She just knows how to make blog stuff happen on the computer, doesn't she?! What a cute t-shirt too...she should do a tutorial! The pictures of you are great...who took them?!

That shirt is so cute! That was sweet of Kim, and she did a great job on your header, too.

This is so cute! Your banner is awesome (although it shows up too large on my tiny netbook screen, boo!) and the photos of you holding that little board are adorable.

And isn't that just the way it is with blogging? We should all remember that we primarily blog for ourselves and not to please others. Be authentic and the rest will follow :)

Blessings,
This Good Life

LOVE the shirt, your photos, your honesty, your blog, you!

And don't even get me started on the cuss words. Boyd dropped the f-bomb, like 5 times in a row, at Chuck E Cheese in front of a bunch of moms and kids. He has me and Kevin to thank for that. ha.

I too love your new header! And that shirt is the bomb. Bloggers are the best. We should all live in the same neighborhood and have a Friday night cook-out in the cul-de-sac. What do you say?

....and i should correct myself. We try to watch our language in front of our child. :) But, we are all human. I am not turned off by a bad word here and there.

Point is, I love your blog!

OMG, this post rocks! Not only do you have some of the cutest damn pictures of yourself on here but you made me bust a seam laughing at what all of us think but don't have the balls to say. So you just go on with your bad ass self girlfriend and when you develop the IRL neighborhood, I want a house right next door ok!

How fantastic is that...bloggie friends are the best (can I come live on your street too)...but only if you promise to use a few swear words - cause then I know you are for real. Adorable you!

LOVE that Kim did that for you ... last summer she sent me an iphone pic from trader joe's, where she had just seen a plant labeled "lucky ladybug" ... so thoughtful! Love BOTH your blogs - and missing that i haven't been here as much these last few months to stay current with you guys ... seeing this post strengthens my resolve to get back on the horse ;-)
