MAW Seeking BWM* for Hot Summer Fling

My blogging mojo seems to have gone on summer vacation along with the ballerinas. It's been forever since I've posted. Or sat down and shared a cup of tea with my favorite cyber friends.

Not really sure what the cause is. I'm guessing it's a combination of BSD still being gone. The ballerinas being home 24/7. Being out and about from morning til night. And when we do find ourselves at home the ballerinas seem to think they have first dibs on all things electronical. (Yes, I know electronical is not a word. Just an inside joke that I had to document to remind myself that money can't buy you intelligence.)

It's already July 1st. Summer seems to be whizzing by. Our days are busy and happy. Filled with nothing too terribly exciting. But enough to put a smile on our faces at the end of the day as we flop into bed exhausted. Well past our bedtimes.

I don't want the summer to escape without some love for my dear old blog. Yet I don't want to post just for the sake of posting either. I think I need some sort of personal project to work on. Not really up for a full-blown Project 365 right now. But I need something to jump start my motivation. Maybe a 30 day photo challenge? I should have started that today on the first of the month, though.

hmmm....anyone out there have any great advice for what to do when your inspiration has waned? What do you do to get your groove back?

MAW = You must be new around here

Such a great photo! BB is concentrating so hard there and she looks so beautiful!

I admit - I had to go see what MAW was (I guess I am new around here). I'm too feeling a bit like with the kiddo home - she's squashing my alone blogging time....but the truth is, we're out having summer fun - and that's OK. BB's looking fab up on her new pointe shoes.

I've missed your posts! What a beautiful ballerina. If I've run out of ideas I usually have a look on flickr for inspiration. Taking photos has turned into a real hobby xo

I feel your pain. Sometimes blogging just has to take a backseat until you feel the mojo come back. Summers are tricky for blogging, I've found. Don't worry - I'll be here to read whenever you find some BWM (which you always do)!

Maybe blogging is a fall/winter sport, because I too feel the mojo leaving. Too much else to pull at me right now.

She looks so grown up .. . en pointe!

Sounds SOOOO familiar!!! We have actually been out of school for 3 weeks, but I finally got around to posting.

I need some kind of challenge, too.

The picture of your daughter is so beautiful - like always. She is so graceful.

Have a wonderful 4th of July!

I think the perfect solution is to do a guest post for my summer series ;-). I'd love to see a hot day in your life!! Xo

I never feel like I have BWM...but I post anyway! We've been busy too this summer...and I haven't really had the time or desire to focus on my blog. I also have to compete for time on the computer.

BB looks beautiful!

I miss your posts too. And I had to click over to see what MAW meant (I must be new too). Love this of BB-gorgeous!

How about a 52 weeks?

My mantra in life - "Everything in life happens for a reason." - is something to revisit now and then. Having some time with the kids and prepping for BSD's return may be just what you're supposed to be doing right now. Let inspiration flow in when it's ready.

I had a great day on the beach with you yesterday. Love those moments in life with friends and family. :)

I'm totally off the stick on my blog, too. Too busy LIVING life with the brothers rather than blogging about it. I say, don't force it.

Miss you, though.

I've loved doing my 365 project because it forces me to keep posting, but I must admit that many a day I struggle with what to post, when to post, and not even wanting to post. It is a chore at times, and I don't want it to be that, but it is also so rewarding when I look back at a whole month, or even a week of posts. I scrolled through my blog the other day looking for something, and the first thing that popped into my head about 40 posts down was "Holy Cr@#, that's a whole lot of stuff you've taken pictures of Missy!" So I was proud of myself. Now, do I want to do it forever, heck no, but for now it works for me. Summer is a hard time to stay focused with anything with the kids out of school and all, but they'd much rather have you with them 100% than looking at a camera all the time and then losing you to the computer when you got home, so just enjoy your time with them and when some BWM comes along, you'll feel the mojo magic and just run with it baby, run with it!

I've missed you around here. Sometimes I post and then think, that was so dumb, totally not blogworthy, but I guess it's kind of my daily escape. I hear you though, I lose my mojo a lot, regarding a lot of things. I think stepping away from anything is good for the soul. Just don't stay gone for too long! :)

That photo of your ballerina is GORGEOUS!

ps.....My BF uses the word romantical, we always laugh, and we know it's not really a word. Your "electronical" inside joke just made me laugh and think of that! :)

Nicolle said...

ok, never mind, maybe romantical is a real word, I just looked it up. Had no idea. Now I really feel like a dork. haha.

I blog for no one but me. Honestly, I'm surprised that someone else besides my dad reads it.
You don't need any BWM. You're funny and people like to read you. There should be NO pressure with this! Relax and enjoy the summer...wish we could have a drink together. :)

Don't ask me...Sometimes not posting for a while is the best inspiration.

I've got lots of posts up in my brain but I need to stop enjoying summer in order to post them...That's a problem.

I forgot to mention that I LOVE BB's picture; I'm swooning over those toe shoes and can only imagine how proud you must be of her! Miss you!

i know what you mean....there is a little less "me" time around here when the kiddos are home....but i am doing my best to stay focused on them...and its exhausting!!at the end of the day...the last thing i feel like doing is blogging! amazing shot of BB!!!

Sometimes I just write to exercise the muscles and the material isn't really blog-worthy but it is what it is, right? I had to cick to see MAW and I think the best job for a MAW would be divorce attorney.
